Do I need to be a member to be considered for a YPA program?
A YPA21 Membership is required to apply for our Mentoring Program or a portfolio review (when launched).
How old do I need to be to be a member?
Either 18-29 years old, or any age and currently enrolled in an accredited photography course.
How long is my membership good for?
Your Youth Membership is valid for one year. When your membership is about to expire, we’ll contact you to see if you wish to renew. Once you are no longer eligible for Youth Membership, we hope you will consider joining as a Supporting Member.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
Please refer to the Worldstudio AIGA Scholarship Program website for how to apply for a YPA scholarship.
How do I apply for an internship?
Register your details with us. We will contact you when we start our internship program.
Once I register, will I automatically be entered for consideration for all YPA program?
No, you will need to apply for the programs you'd like to be considered for. Whenever we launch a new program, all YPA members will be notified so that you can submit an application for consideration.
Is there an application fee for the Mentoring Program or Portfolio Review?
No. Once you’ve paid your $21 YPA21 Membership fee, there are no other costs associated with applying for any of the YPA programs.
When does the Mentoring Program take place?
The 2011 Mentoring Program takes place over ten weeks, starting in June. Your team will set the meeting times based on your combined schedules. The final project must be completed by August 15th, 2011.

When is the Portfolio Review?

I'm a high school student. How can YPA help me?
YPA programs focus on college students. High school seniors may apply to join a YPA program once they are accepted into a college program. (We have awarded several scholarships to college freshmen.) We recommend checking out the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, which have a number of programs and awards for middle and high school students.
I am interested in being a mentor.
